BOSIFEST contributes to breaking down prejudices, obstacles and barriers
What movie left the biggest impression?
I especially liked the movie that was shown 2012th and which follows the life of a young adventurer, Remy Bernier, who dealt with climbing and other extreme sports, but after a stroke, had to be given to rehabilitation and to come to terms with the loss of physical abilities. The slogan "Do not call me special," BOSIFEST tried to point out that people with disabilities should have the same rights and obligations as all other members of society.
Tourist Organization of Belgrade supports the festival since the beginning. Last year there was a round table discussion on "Tourism and the disabled." What are your experiences with BOSIFEST?
Festival each year attracts more people to the country, from region and around the world. BOSIFEST each year progresses and develops into a serious international event with many wonderful films that inspire us and show that life has full meaning and when they happen some tragic events. Positive attitude about life is always crucial.
More than two years, Belgrade has an interactive showcase and Travel Guide for Persons with Disabilities, how much easier and more accessible that made tourist offers for people with disabilities?
TOB has excellent cooperation with ENAT (European Network for Accessible Tourism). It is one of the largest international associations of people with disabilities. As active participants in conferences ENAT's, both in the country and in Europe, we are trying to convey the experience of the developed countries. On our site you can find "Belgrade for all" travel guide for people with physical disabilities in PDF format in English and Serbian. We did a brief guide to Belgrade in Braille with photographs and in that way made Belgrade available for persons with impaired vision. Belgrade City invests a lot and takes care of availability on the streets, in public transport, post offices and other institutions. We have contributed many tourist facilities to introduce ramps and lifts for people with disabilities. All these investments mean a lot for the image of the city, as well as increase the number of tourists and tourism revenue.
This year also TOB will support BOSIFEST and assist in accommodation of guests. How much Belgrade accommodation facilities are adjusted for persons with disabilities?
BOSIFEST a serious film festival people with disabilities and is the only festival of its kind in Southeast Europe. Like every year, TOB will support the organization of the event in all segments - calling all responsible institutions to help the festival, including Belgrade high school students and students from Belgrade University (Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Faculty of Political Science, University Singidunum - Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality management, Secondary school of Tourism, Catering - Tourism school...) to promote the festival, as well as participate in the festival. Also, our aim is, as every year, involving as many volunteers so they continue, in their future professions, occupations, jobs, contributing to the city of Belgrade is the same for all. TOB is trying to emphasize the importance of adaptation of accommodation facilities for people with disabilities. Of course, it is regulated by the Tourism Law, according to which all hotels and hostels must have a certain number of rooms accessible to people with disabilities. There is no specific European Standards Act which governs the exact representation (percent) to obtain general permit for construction of buildings. Each country regulates it by its own laws. TOB has done a lot participating in conferences, national and international, to raise awareness of the importance of institutional support to availability of accommodation and infrastructure.

Interview with Lisa Pram co-author of Chromosome 5
BOSIFEST 2013 GRAND PRIX was awarded to the film Chromosome 5 (filmmaker: Maria Ripoll & Lisa Pram, 2013, Spain). This is story of loss and encounter. Andrea loses a small part of her chromosome 5, but her mother has to find a new way of seeing and accepting.
Where did the idea to make this film come from? Why did you choose Andrea and her mother as the main characters of your film? Maria and Andrea and I met at the entrance of school and Maria noticed Andrea´s different ways/allure. We inmediately started talking and getting to know each other. At one point I gave her my diary to read and the doc-film is based on this diary. Andrea is the main character because she is Irreplaceable, special, beautiful and a great actor that loves to work in film and also photo-shootings.
You have taken part in numerous festivals around the world. What were the reactions of the audience?
Strong emotional feedback. We are very happy and thankful to get the story out there and the reactions are positive and great.
